The owner of Michael’s Back Door Restaurant will be competing in Dancing with the Mississauga Stars this November.
Michael Morra, owner of Michael’s Back Door Restaurant in Clarkson, Mississauga for over 35 years will be putting on his dancing shoes on November 3, 2017 in support of Community Foundation of Mississauga in Dancing with the Mississauga Stars.
“I’m not a trained dancer but I’ve always loved to dance, whether it’s been with my wife or daughters at a family wedding or with my siblings growing up in Italy. None of us are particularly good at dancing but dancing makes us feel good,” says Michael who turned 80 earlier this year. “And for over 50 years now I’ve been doing everything I can to support the growth and prosperity of the City of Mississauga, a city that has been very supportive of my family-run businesses for decades.”
Dancing with the Mississauga Stars is a one-night gala event in support of Community Foundation of Mississauga, an organization that is committed to supporting essential programs and services for children and youth in Mississauga.
“Ensuring community vitality has been our purpose, promise and passion since 2001 when we started connecting donors to community needs and opportunities” says Anne Marie Peirce, President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Mississauga.
Michael Morra will be competing in what promises to be a very entertaining dance-off with four other Mississauga stars on November 3, 2017 at the Mississauga Convention Centre. Gala tickets are available for
$200 per person and each participant must raise a minimum of $10,000 to compete.
