COVID DINING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Michael’s Back Door Restaurant is thrilled to announce the reopening of our dining room on Saturday, November 7, 2020 for dinner Tuesday - Sunday. Your support over the past several months has made this possible and for that, we are incredibly grateful.

Location & Hours of Operation

 

Monday:  Closed

Tuesday thru Thursday: 5:00 – 9:00 pm

Friday and Saturday:  5:00 – 10:00 pm

Sunday:  5:00 – 8:30 pm

 

New Rules

With this reopening new indoor dining rules will go into effect in addition to the previous rules. These include the following:

  • Our indoor dining rooms will be limited to 10 diners

  • Tables will be limited to 4 people in the same family

  • Our dining room must close by 10 p.m. every night

  • Liquor sales must be made prior to 9 p.m.

  • All liquor must be consumed by 10 p.m.


Seating Availability & Group Sizes

 

We will be taking reservations by phone (905-822-5751) and via our online booking toolWalk-ins are also welcome if availability allows however, with shortened operating hours, smaller table sizes and a minimum of 6 feet between tables, the number of available tables will be limited.

 

We will still be offering takeout and delivery during this time. If the restaurant is full, takeout is always an option.

 

Face Masks

 

In accordance with municipal guidelines, all patrons will be required to wear masks when dining indoors when they are not eating. Guests who are eating on the patio (during patio season) will be required to wear a mask when they are using the bathroom facilities inside the building. 

 

 

Our COVID-19 Safety Procedures 

 

We will be adhering to all Public Health Policies and Procedures and you can expect the following:

  • All employees will be required to do a health check (including taking their temperature) each day before they begin work

  • Any employee exhibiting any potential symptoms or not feeling well will NOT be permitted to work and must be symptom-free and receive a negative COVID-19 test before returning.

  • All employees will be required to wear masks including servers both inside the dining room and outside on the patio

  • Tables will be spaced at least 6 feet apart to maintain physical distancing

  • Pay station terminals will have disposable covers which will be replaced after each use

  • Menus will be single-use only or you can view the menu via our website on your mobile phone

  • Continual sanitation of all high touch surfaces including seats, tables, menus, pay pads, etc. 

  • Patrons will be required to leave their name and contact information for contact tracing purposes
